Client: Greenhouse Juice Co. + VAMS

Project: Oversaw recipe development + managed design process for new bottles / labels + staff training / education.

The market for kombucha in Toronto was still in its nascency when Deeva and Lee developed these products (along with Toronto-based fermentory VAMS) in 2014-15. As such, two factors were important: a) a label design that permitted enough space for communicating about a product category that many consumers would be seeing for the very first time, b) an overall look and feel that seemed like a natural extension of Greenhouse’s juice line, but that was also different enough to stand alone. They decided on a three-faced label to accommodate additional text and a clear-glass, small-mouth Boston Round bottle, alluding to kombucha’s medicinal qualities while putting the product line’s eye-catching colors on display.
